Birth Control
The Birth Control presentation aims to educate participants about:
- What birth control is
- The different types of birth control
- How birth control works
- The benefits, risks, and side effects of birth control methods
- And abstinence.
A video is used to show the different types of birth control and Birth Control Bingo is played at the end
of the presentation.
Age Appropriateness: Middle school and older.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)
The Sexually Transmitted Diseases presentation aims to educate participants about:
- What a sexually transmitted disease is
- The different types of STDs
- How STDs can be spread
- Prevention of STDs
- Testing and treatment of STDs
- Consequences of untreated STDs
- And abstinence.
A slide show is used to show participants what signs and symptoms of STDs look like.

Healthy Relationships
The Healthy Relationships presentation aims to educate participants about:
- The components of relationships
- Characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships
- How to assess relationships
- Communication
- And the Power and Control Wheel.
Age Appropriateness: All ages.
Communication
The Communication presentation aims to educate participants about:
- The different forms of communication
- Communication styles (passive, aggressive, and assertive)
- Healthy communication
- Listening skills
- And the use of "I" statements.
A video is used to illustrate the principles of the presentation.
Age Appropriateness: All ages.
Talking with Your Kids
The Talking with Your Kids presentation aims to educate participants about:
- Importance of the parent/caregiver role in a child’s sexuality education
- Components of sexuality
- Child development
- How to be an "ASKABLE" parent/caregiver
- And how to give clear, medically accurate messages to children.
"Solving the Puzzle: Family Guided Sexuality Education" handbook is distributed.
